Wellllll, I still haven’t updated my 365 on Facebook. One might wonder why I haven’t and I’ll explain it here. People probably think all I have to do is just upload the photos, no problem – but when you are behind as I am you have to go back and figure out when the photos were taken so you can use them on the proper day, editing them, sometimes they are on my phone/camera/other camera/friends camera, and I just got so behind now I am feeling overwhelmed with the task. But hey, I’m going to take this as a lesson – don’t fall behind. On another note. I have been working non stop and it’s been great because I need the money and it’s good to keep busy but damn was it hard to have all my close friends come back for their winter breaks and work at the same time. This means work all day, hang out all night, wake up and do it all over again. Right after my last friend left to go back to school, three days later while working one of my random jobs, I started to feel pretty ill and I then realized that it had gotten me. I thought I had somehow magically avoided the flu or whatever was going around but man was I wrong. The first day of the flu was so bad at night that I put onions on the bottom of my feet and by my bedside to soak up the toxins in my body and in the air.. and hey it might have burned my nose in random parts of the night and it smelled like casserole but it worked! The next morning I woke up and felt pretty damn good, especially compared to how I was feeling the night before.
That being said. Taking photos lately has been put on the back burner (I still take a couple photos a day, but it’s not the same). I’m not motivated to do any creative shoots or call anyone up to model for me or even try to get business up and going. Anytime I take a photo, it’s only because I truly want to. Which is something I think I needed right now. So resting at home these past few days, I just decided to get up, grab my camera, and go take some photos of baby Roo and give infrared photos a try (through photoshop). You’ll see these below. Colors are unusually bright and I don’t mind it. I do like how the infrared photos turned out. Because I started them as infrared but they turned into something different – of course it has a surreal feel to them but they feel more ‘spooky’ then infrared – which makes me think of snow a lot of the time, if done in my favorite way. I put both the edited version and the non. Anyways, big announcements are coming sooner or later, not really related to photography but still exciting.
